​A Song Without Words was composed in this version for Canadian Trumpet soloist, Dean McNeill. The ensemble version is scored for solo trumpet, string quartet, string bass, piano, and drum set. The music is a haunting and lyrical song form, reminiscent of the composer's native Wales.
